JOB TITLE:
- Home Delivery Driver
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with potential customers, current patients, and physician office staff in a manner that positions the company for success and provides the best customer experience possible.
- Deliver products to patient locations.
- Load, transport, and deliver cannabis orders in a safe and timely manner.
- Follow the route and time schedule.
- Verify the patient’s eligibility to receive orders.
- Maintain delivery schedule based on incoming orders from dispatch.
- Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are being followed when completing every delivery.
- Follow proper dispensing methods implemented by the Department of Health.
- Deliver and dispense the company’s regulated medical cannabis products to qualified patients in accordance with company policy and in accordance with the state medical cannabis regulations.
- Use the POS system to process orders, make notes, and process payments.
- Provide troubleshooting and support to dispatch and patients as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading products from warehouse inventory to vehicle.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle; perform regular vehicle checks before and after each day’s run.
- Maintain organized records using our POS system of transactions and inventory.
- Conduct outreach to prospective brands aligned with the company’s mission.
- Willingness to jump between tasks and assist in different departments.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a delivery driver role.
- Knowledge of CA cannabis law and regulations specific to delivery services is a plus.
- A solid understanding of cannabis products and the cannabis industry.
- Passionate about working against the stigmas associated with the cannabis industry.
- Delivery Driver or Courier experience is preferred.
- Strong math skills to provide change to patients.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Powerpoint.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must submit a clean driving record (MVR abstract) when applying.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, and reach with hands and arms.
- May be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
