JOB TITLE:

  • Kitchen Assistant

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the kitchen.
  • Assist with preparing and baking cannabis edibles and other products.
  • Storing supplies and disposal of waste according to guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required/necessary.
  • Assist in packaging and labeling all finished products.
  • Effectively follows procedures for food preparations, production, packaging, and controls.
  • Works with the kitchen team with hands-on tactics while following production processes and schedules.
  • Works with Processing and Packaging to prepare and package products according to the company’s internal schedule and within food safety standards and regulations.
  • Cleaning kitchen utensils and equipment to comply with sanitation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills are mandatory; required to turn out large quantities of product under tight time constraints.
  • Excellent math or computer skills to calculate recipes and to produce the correct quantity of finished product.
  • Experience cooking with cannabis is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Good organizational skills to maintain the highest level of productivity.
  • Recognize time constraints and effectively execute fulfilling market demand in a timely manner.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, along with frequent bending.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, and work with fingers.
