JOB TITLE:

  • Maintenance Technician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements a recurring daily task list for general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, grounds maintenance, stocking supplies, and cleaning.
  • Performs general assistance on special projects as assigned.
  • Resolve and record any safety issues.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ensure all custodial functions associated with cleaning and maintaining the building both inside and outside.
  • Manage outside contractors for determined outside facilities and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general construction/carpentry.
  • Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety operations. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Education or GED required; some college or college graduate preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Experience in maintenance or a similar position is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit or stand in one place for long periods of time.
  • The ability to concentrate on a detailed task for long periods of time.
  • The ability to periodically lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
