JOB TITLE:
- Maintenance Technician
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements a recurring daily task list for general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, grounds maintenance, stocking supplies, and cleaning.
- Performs general assistance on special projects as assigned.
- Resolve and record any safety issues.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests.
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
- Ensure all custodial functions associated with cleaning and maintaining the building both inside and outside.
- Manage outside contractors for determined outside facilities and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general construction/carpentry.
- Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Education or GED required; some college or college graduate preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Experience in maintenance or a similar position is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit or stand in one place for long periods of time.
- The ability to concentrate on a detailed task for long periods of time.
- The ability to periodically lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
