JOB TITLE:

  • Packager

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for packaging oil and infused products into individual-size denominations.
  • Responsible for labeling, weighing, and packaging finished orders for transfer to retail stores while maintaining department supplies and standards of cleanliness.
  • Responsible for consistent, sanitary, and safe production and packaging of infused cannabis products utilizing company policies to successfully uphold the quality and consistency of all products produced.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of equipment and workstations including shared areas (kitchens, bathrooms, facilities, etc.)
  • Monitors inventory and alerts management when supply levels are low.
  • Assists in inventory, counts, and audits.
  • Maintains compliance in all processes and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Follow all relevant state regulations on cannabis packaging and handling.
  • Maintain concentration while completing repetitive tasks.
  • Verify quality control standards are being met throughout every phase of the production process.
  • Safely transport products from the workspace to the storage area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 21 years of age (or per state regulations).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic understanding of cannabis compliance related to packaging.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cannabis MIP regulations.
  • Must have clearance to work in the cannabis industry.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to measure, package, and label in a precise manner.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, squatting and stooping, twisting and bending the neck, waist, and wrists.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, cutting, and fine manipulation.
  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds.
