JOB TITLE:
- Pre-Pack Technician
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans and sanitizes the packing area and equipment used during process packing, assisting with disposal as needed.
- Keeps Pre-Pack area organized and separates waste & plant material in accordance with their assigned harvest batch.
- Performs machine pre-packing of bulk medical marijuana into 1/8 jars and/or bags.
- Operates packaging line efficiently.
- Performs weighing of medical marijuana or kief.
- Performs quality assurance measures, including inspecting material during packaging, maintaining a sterile environment and work area, and safeguarding against broken or defective packaging or storage containers.
- Ensures neat and accurate labeling, checking that UIN matches which order it coincides with, and confirming accurate counts before being sent to Quality Control.
- Immediately reports any issues or deviations from quality standards to the Pre-Pack Manager during the entire process.
- Wears required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to prevent contamination and abide by personal hygiene standards at all times.
- Assists other departments when available including cleaning other areas of the facility, hand trimming, and bucking procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 6 months or more experience working with Medical Marijuana.
- 1 – 3 years experience in a regulated production environment.
- Basic plant structure knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and interdependently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment with people from various cultures, backgrounds, socioeconomic status, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality requirements and law.
- at least 21 years of age.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Long periods of prolonged standing and sitting.
- Ability to observe and assess material that deviates from established company standards.
- Hand-eye coordination and enough manual dexterity to perform manual labor tasks.
- Must be capable of performing repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.
- Some crouching or holding uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time.
- Requires bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
