JOB TITLE:

  • Hydrocarbon Extraction Technician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate cannabis extraction equipment safely, following company SOPs.
  • Perform biomass preparation, as well as operate Hydrocarbon Extraction equipment safely in a C1D1 environment.
  • Prepare and clean equipment and workspace efficiently at the start and end of extraction cycles.
  • Create products in a mass-production setting, with a keen attentiveness to quality.
  • Follows good manufacturing practice standards, as well as data logging and material tracking in MJ Freeway for state compliance.
  • Cross-train on Ethanol extraction and its associated processes (Winterization and Filtration).
  • Regularly sanitize tools, equipment, and production areas used in the lab to ensure sanitary practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in a related science or engineering is preferred but not required.
  • 1 year of experience as a hydrocarbon extraction technician is preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of cannabis and cannabis extracts is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to execute techniques consistently
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good documentation, inventory, and organization skills.
  • Ability to keep to a planned production schedule.
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain a state-issued cultivation badge, which includes passing a background check free of felony convictions.
  • Must possess the physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required to accomplish duties.
