JOB TITLE:

  • Mom/Clone Technician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains the mother plants as well as the clones on a daily basis to ensure maximum health.
  • Maintain mom stock, cut clones, and manager watering.
  • Assists in all aspects of cultivation operations including trellising, pruning, spacing, and overall canopy management.
  • Ensures daily production schedule and goals set by Cultivation Manager/Team Leads are met.
  • Completes proper transplanting techniques including substrate mixing, container filling, and transplanting.
  • Assists in the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of irrigation systems and environmental controls.
  • Drive production during cloning and transplanting to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Ability to teach and coach other cultivators in a way that grows them as an individual and cultivator.
  • Checks for any plant loss or stress, malfunctioning cultivation equipment, and any uncompleted tasks from the day before.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong desire to produce a high-quality product.
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving.
  • Prior experience working in agriculture/horticulture, packing houses, and general production/retail greenhouses.
  • Familiarity with Good Agricultural Practices/Good Handling Practices (GAP/GHP).
  • Knowledge of basic plant science and crop production.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions as necessary with oversight when needed.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking motion/movement will be required throughout the shift.
  • Constant movement of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  • Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to inspect/maintain plants.
  • Occasionally operates power hand tools and other cultivation machinery.
  • Ability to remain stationary, move about the facility, and lift equipment or plants up to 75 lbs. for extended periods.
