JOB TITLE:

  • Pharmacist

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check patient certifications via the online portal
  • Review the patient’s physician recommendations and dispense medical cannabis medication
  • Provide individualized patient consultations to determine the best program alongside the physician’s recommendation
  • Maintain control of the inventory and rotate the medicine as needed.
  • Review and submit the prescription state monitoring program
  • Record the removal of damaged and outdated medicine

  • Provides direct patient care by conducting (virtual/live/telephone) consultations with approved medical cannabis patients.
  • Makes clinical decisions regarding which product(s) in our formulary spectrum to recommend based on a patient’s qualifying condition and other factors.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. (Licensed without restrictions).
  • Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of operations.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills.
  • Eager to learn and understand cannabinoids and how they interact with the human body.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, management, patients, governmental agencies, community members, and the general public.
  • Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Preferred additional training in Cannabis-Based Medicine.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate, and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
