JOB TITLE:

  • Product Breakdown Technician/Specialist

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for breaking down bulk flowers into sellable units.
  • Responsible for weighing bulk flower when it enters the facility and assuring the accuracy of the weight against the state-controlled system and invoices.
  • Reports directly to the Inventory Supervisor and/or Inventory Lead but may be asked to provide support to other departments as well.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all areas of the facility, making sure all inventory is put away, secured and the area cleaned. Maintaining areas that are up to OSHA and compliance codes.
  • Provide bulk weight information to the inventory supervisor to enter new products into the system.
  • Record and document all bulk flowers to be converted to be given to the inventory supervisor.
  • Communicate and maintain the area in and around any waste product that needs to be destroyed.
  • Provide regular reporting as required by internal operations and state requirements.
  • Ensure bulk flower is stocked and organized in their designated area ready to break down or convert.
  • Ensure that Metrc ID tags are located with the correct product within the vault, and sales floor at all times.
  • Special projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum of 6 months of Cannabis Familiarity.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Ability to work within a team and on an individual basis.
  • Must be 21 or older, and be able to pass an extensive background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to have extended cannabis exposure, with no adverse physical reaction.
  • Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms.
  • Ability to see, hear, speak, and write English clearly to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and visitors.
  • Fine visual acuity with the ability to adjust focus to inspect closely, the ability to see color.
  • Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to meet job and operate equipment requirements.
  • Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a dispensary manager.
  • Pushing/pulling/carrying, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
