JOB TITLE:
- Trimmer
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for manicuring wet or dry flower from stalk and break down plants to process/trim them to meet quality standards.
- Must be able to adapt to varying strains, styles, and types of marijuana being trimmed.
- Responsible for tracking the batches that they trim including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the un-usable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state, local laws and regulations.
- Adjust techniques to maintain a steady pace without sacrificing the quality of output.
- Assist in the sanitization, organization, and proper storage of all tools.
- Assist in the organization and sanitary storage of all input materials.
- Inspects flower for defects using a variety of tools and processes.
- Fulfill assigned responsibilities in line with procedures set forth by all department Standard Operating Procedures and subsequent training.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years experience processing medical marijuana or other botanicals preferred.
- Minimum 21 years of age (or per state regulations).
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must have a basic understanding of Marijuana laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state.
- Food Handlers Card is strongly recommended.
- Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and strains.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must have accuracy and consistency while trimming and weighing products.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale.
- Flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
