Vault Controller/Manager Job Description Sample Template

JOB TITLE:

  • Vault Controller/Manager

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Teamwork across the vault and inventory teams through daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting of KPI.
  • Design, create, implement, and improve finished goods and delivery SOPs across the department.
  • Package bulk/packaged products into storage totes and label them accordingly.
  • Retrieve products required for all manufacturing departments.
  • Organize and arrange the vault contents in an efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to facilitate the release of products.
  • Maintain an accurate and current vault inventory.
  • Verify product inventory count in the vault on a scheduled basis.
  • Complete vault documentation to track incoming and outgoing products.
  • Facilitate, document, and communicate outgoing shipments.
  • Lead through significant change and continuous improvement of core inventory and warehouse operations.
  • Complete all required documentation using good documentation practices.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or commensurate experience in applicable fields: Inventory control, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, retail delivery management).
  • Cannabis Experience is a plus.
  • Utilization of Cannabis State tracking system- MJ Freeway, METRIC, or the like desirable.
  • ERP/MRP Experience is a plus.
  • Operational knowledge of the MS Suite including Excel, Sharepoint, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, operational research, root cause, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to achieve objectives, as well as prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Comfortable working with Cannabis.
  • Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working with step ladders (i.e. step ladder/single-sided step ladder)
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE (jumpsuits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.)
