JOB TITLE:

  • Vegetation and Propagation Specialist

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute core vegetative tasks and techniques in a conscientious and skillful manner.
  • Core vegetative tasks and techniques include, but are not limited to, cloning, transplanting, pruning, defoliating, topping, and cleaning.
  • Responsible for overseeing all cloning propagation activities to maintain the plant production schedule for various rounds and groupings of plants.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations pertinent to cannabis cultivation.
  • Assist with feeding and nutrients for turbo cloners.
  • Oversee the health and wellness of all mother plants including plant care, topping, pruning, and watering as needed.
  • Inventory Propagation supplies materials weekly and communicates ordering needs to the Director of Cultivation.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to mitigate potential pest problems and facilitate an organized and efficient workflow.
  • Keep all equipment clean and sanitized.
  • Assist general cultivation staff with labor on an as-needed basis.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Botany, Horticulture, Agriculture, or similar programs/experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current state and local cannabis regulations and codes.
  • Effectively use Microsoft applications and other relevant software.
  • Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Basic scientific understanding of botany, horticulture, and agriculture is preferred.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Must pass any and all background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This job may require sitting, walking, or standing for periods of time along with lifting, bending over, and crouching.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
